This policy describes how VuEducate (“we”, “the site”) treats information when you use our website. VuEducate is a front-end that helps you discover and play embedded educational-style videos. We do not run user accounts on the site itself unless you add that feature later.

Who is responsible

Insert your name or organisation and contact email (same as on the contact page). For EU/UK users, state your role as data controller where applicable.

What the site processes

• YouTube Data API: Search and metadata requests go from the browser to Google using an API key (either built into the page by the site owner or stored locally after you paste it). Google’s terms and privacy policy apply.
• Embedded playback: Videos play in a YouTube iframe. YouTube (Google) may set cookies and collect usage data as described in their policies. We do not control their iframe.
• Local storage: If you paste an API key, it may be stored in your browser (e.g. localStorage). It is not sent to our servers unless you add a backend that does so.
• Reports and contact forms: If you use “Report inappropriate / concern” or a contact form, submissions go to the form provider you configure (for example Formspree) or by email. That provider’s privacy policy applies.

Cookies and similar technologies

Our static pages may use no first-party cookies beyond what your host adds. Third-party embeds (YouTube) and any analytics or ads you add later may use cookies. If you use ad networks, follow their consent requirements for your region.

Legal bases (UK / EEA)

If you serve UK or EEA visitors: legitimate interests for operating the site and security; consent where required for non-essential cookies or marketing; contract if you offer paid services.

Retention

We do not host a user database in the default setup. Form submissions are retained according to your form provider’s settings. Adjust those settings to meet your needs.
